What we do
The Respite Centre is open on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays between the hours of 9.00am and 3.00pm.
We pick up and drop off attendees from their home to the Respite Centre in Howard with one of our buses. We have a group of qualified and experienced carers on site to look after everyone's needs and make sure everybody is safe and happy.
Each day clients receive morning tea with a cuppa, lunch with dessert and are free to have extra cups of tea or coffee during the day. There are various activities you can do throughout the day, but you can be as active and sociable as you want, or you can relax in the lounge room and watch tv on your own if you so desire. Everyone has different wants and needs, and we are here to accommodate them.
We generally have two outings per month, which may be a trip to the cinema, a shopping outing or even a trip out of the area for something different. A monthly calendar goes out to all our clients so you can plan ahead!
